It used an internal wireless adapter (we have a wireless router that isn't too far from it), and worked perfectly for a long time, but then this became unreliable so I bought a Belkin 802.11g wireless adapter which then worked perfectly itself for another long time. In fact, after that, both of them worked fine. Recently it began to be temperamental, and now it's been completely unable to connect to the internet for a few days. It can't be the router's fault because every other computer connects to it fine, and it can't be distance from the router because it won't connect when it's right next to the router either. I've tried everything I can think of but nothing's worked: if anyone has any suggestions at all for me please do say so. Thanks, Eddie. |

This is my first time on this site but heres what i know about ur problem.
I had the exact same set of issues with my laptop its a compaq presario V6000 with vista 32 bit. The internet kept disconnecting randomly for about a month before it went completely. The issue i had was a manufacturing flaw in one of my drivers not sure which. But i sent it to the manufacturer they repaired it and i got it back about 2 months ago working great. Not sure if this will help as u have a different make/model but i would contact the manu and see what they know |

You can also disable and enable wireless from your Vista operating system. First, select the Start menu > Control Panel. Then click Network and Sharing Center > Manage wireless connections. Right-click on the wireless connection, and then either select disable or enable.

Thank you! I fiddled around with the adding network profile tool for a while and suddenly it started working again. This is now the best it's worked in months, thank you so much! I obviously don't know if it's fixed permanently but it seems good
