I have a key board problem that is not the keyboard because I tried other keyboards and had the same problem. I'm using an Acer desktop with windows xp home edition. When I type I have to hold 2 seconds before the letter appeared in the screen. It goes to all keys on the keyboard. Also there is a click sound in the computer every time I push a key that wasn't there before. Every thing else works fine. I have tried everything I can and can't figure it out. Hope you guys can help me..thanks. |

My first reaction to this is too look in the keyboard applet and see if 'SLOW KEYS" is toggled on. Second thing to try is to do a restore back to before the problem showed up. Another trick i used to do years ago was to delete the drivers out of device manager and let windows reload new drivers when the computer was restarted. Beyond this there were some viruses that caused this kind of problem, but i have not seen them in years.
