My PC's gone mad!

Hello!
Yesterday I decided to install Limewire which also meant I had to install Java too. As soon as I installed Java my PC went rather odd and it took forever to start up. I got a black error screen (as opposed to the blue error screen) come up and I eventually managed to get in by hitting the 'Start Windows Automatically' button on said screen.
However, it's still taking an age to start up and MSN has to reinstall itself everytime I switch on and Zone Alarm firewall has to switch itself back on too.
I have since uninstalled Limewire and Java and also cleaned out a load of stuff from my C Drive (apparently it's always running out of space despite me constantly clearing stuff out of it and emptying the Recycle Bin etc) but to no avail. I've run virus checks too just to be on the safe side and it isn't finding any threats. Any ideas?

It's very possible that you have malware in your computer replicating itself, filling the HD. Please post your topic in the malware forum (a link in my list of links below). Take all the preliminary steps. After the helpers from the malware forum confirm that the computer is clean, and if the problem persists, post back in this forum. It may take some time because they are quite busy there.
