Hi, i am currently going to college for computer science and want to ask a simple question, which field of computers do you think would be the most advantagous to pursue. I am into fixing computers i.e. becoming an IT but unfortunately i have noticed they do not make a high amount of money. One of my neighbors is a computer guy who fixes medical computers and makes a fair share of money, do any of you know anything about this field. Pretty much i do not want to be a web creator or a designer, becuase i simply don't have the artistic ability and it does not catch my time. So if you could, please give me a little info about your job or any opinions you have about certain computer fields. Thank you for all those who will respond to this, this will be a huge help to my life. thumbsup.gif

While I don't know what field you should look into I would suggest that you make sure it's something you enjoy, not just what pays well. 40 hours a week (if you're not working overtime) is a long time to be miserable. Since you're in college consider using summers (or just take semesters/quarters off) to get jobs at companies in the different fields. It will help you know if you like it and if you do a good work you'll have a better shot of getting a job there. I hope this helps.
