Hi im using windows xp professional, when i come to turn my pc on you can never tell wether its going to run fast ish or slow (mainly slow ), i have not idea what it is just wondering if someone could have a look at my hijack log for me,its all gobbledegook to me ha ha, thanks very much!!

Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

**If the tool fails to launch from the Desktop, please move SmitfraudFix.exe directly to the root of the system drive (usually C:), and launch from there.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

I can't get this SmitfraudFix.exe thingy to work,it just says it not a valid win32 application. when you mean move it to the root of my drive, do you literally mean just move it to the C drive?

This includes installing the Windows XP Recovery Console in case you have not installed it yet.

For more information on the Windows XP Recovery Console read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058.

Once you install the Recovery Console, when you reboot your computer, you'll see the option for the Recovery Console now as well. DO NOT select Recovery Console as we don't need it. By default, your main OS is selected there. The screen stays for 2 seconds and then it proceeds to load Windows. That is normal.

Post the log from ComboFix (located in C:\combofix.txt) when you've accomplished that, along with a new HijackThis log.

hi, erm ive downloaded the combo fix ok, but now i have come to do the Windows XP Recovery Console, and this error came up ???

erm i started to run combofix and a scary message came up saying 1/100 pcs don't make through the decontamination process or something along those lines i'm scared cause i have too much work and stuff on it too lose on it

Don't worry too much about it.. If you still hesitate, just back-up your important files and then run ComboFix please..
