Hello! My name is Jessie! I'm not new to computers, but I have never been very smart when it came to fixing them when they have problems. Well I got this stupid WinSpywareProtect program that just downloaded itself onto my computer. I have tried just about everything that I can think of to get it off, but I am so afraid of deleting something that will mess up my computer that I dont what to mess with it to much. I also did do a spyware scan and came up with al lot of things. When I tried to delete them, the computer said that if I did it. it could delete something that would mess up other programs on my computer. Could someone please help me figure out what is and isn't good to delete. And PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help me get this WinSpywareProtect off my computer. Every time I enter in a site in the address bar, this screen pops up saying "Insecure Internet activity. Threat of virus attack" then below that is says "Click here to get full advanced real-time protection and continue browsing. or Continue to this website unprotected (not recommended). " I always click on the not recommended line because when I click on the other one it takes me to the site to purchase the WinSpywareProtect program. If there is any help that you can give me I would be forever grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Jessie

Hi Jessie and welcome to GeekstoGo!

I suggest you head over to the malware forums. Read this thread first.
Following what is outlined there you will get rid of at least the majority of your malware problems.
If the problem still persists post a Hijack this log in this forum for the experts to analyze.
If it has been 3 days and you haven't received help, post in the waiting room and someone will get to you.

Just a heads up ... replying to your own thread will likely make you wait LONGER as it makes you appear to be receiving help already.
