A way to make mp3 Song to Ringtone for Windows XP

i was wondering if someone could know a way to make a full mp3 song into a ringtone. I can put the song but i don't want the whole song as the ringtone just the part i want and i been trying to find a way on windows xP so i was wondering if someone knows a way to do this. it is a MOTOROLA phone by the way. Thanks.

Hello dragonlord12,

You can cut the segment out of the mp3 using audacity, can be downloaded from http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ you can then save it as an mp3. Did the phone come with any software that could convert the mp3?
