Hello All,
I am a computer neophyte and until 3 days ago I didn't really know that adware, spyware and malware existed. I was blissfully ignorant about security, of course, my computer was infected with various things (see other post) and now I must know as much as possible. I was reading the "How did I get infected" section and it said that only one firewall and one antivirus program should be used. I have a laptop that has Norton Antivirus that expired in 2005 blushing.gif . I was going to download one of the ones recommended on this site but would I need to remove the old Norton AntiVirus first? And what about firewalls? If I download one on this website will I thenbneed to remove one from my computer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
