Please help. (I hope I put this in the right forum, sorry if it's not

My computer is making a horrible new sound. It sounds like a fan, so i took off the cover and blew out all the old cobwebs and dust from the fans, thinking that would help.

At first I thought it was my video card, but when I got the sound again after spraying, I took a flashlight with the cover off, and the sound is comming from
that little box that the power plug plugs into. there is a fan there, I'm pretty sure THATS the culprit. So, what do I do? What is it? Can I fix it? is it expensive? sigh. The computer isnt that old.

That's the Power Supply's fan and you may be able to remove the power supply then the fan. If the fan has a bad bearing then it needs replacing. If it's just dust/dirt, remove it and clean it thoroughly. Try one of those clean compressed air cans to blow out any dust/dirt. Turn the fan with your fingers and see if it moves smoothly.
