You'll be able to create LAN games using your wireless usb adapter. As long as those you want to play with are on the same network.
You might want to read THIS for a brief tutorial on home networking. You can use the information there to set-up a home network where you can play WC3 LAN games. And just a little information for you: You don't create LAN games with the network adapter (a USB wireless adapter in your case). The USB you have is there to provide connectivity to your network where your friends are. For the Horde! |

Just go BNet using the game. There's a create game there or something like that. Try playing a game on BNet. If you can do that, then creating one shouldn't be a problem networking-wise IMO.

Find the router you are connecting to with the adapter on the list here and follow the directions. This should allow you to host games on battle.net.

Port forwarding...right...sorry I didn't think of that
I don't really go to BNet or do port forwarding (I don't have my own router) For WC3 on BNet: QUOTE Allow port 6112 TCP out and allow established sessions in
Allow port 6112 TCP in (hosting custom games) Allow port 6113-6119 TCP out and in (hosting custom games if you've changed the default port in the Options/Gameplay screen) If you are still having problems after you open up the required ports, try opening 116(TCP) and 118(TCP). I don't really know if these ports are required or not. I have had people tell me that opening up those two ports have helped them connect to battle.net. There's a setting somewhere in game for you to change the port used to play.
Change the port your adapter computer uses, forward that port to the adapter computer with the router (make sure that port is NOT being forwarded anywhere else), and it should work. I can't be more specific b/c I don't have the game here and I haven't used it in quite a while.... sorry |
