if your question goes as I see, you want just restore your settings in windows as it were, or you want to restore also files and much more(like backup)???
to me, if you want just restore your windows, just use (System restore) that you can find in start ==> all programmes ==> system tools ==> system restore to be better, use it in safe mode |

During the POST screen press <Ctrl> + <F11> to display the PC Restore tool. This will get you to the recovery partition to reinstall windows and factory programs.
