Okay, I had spyware/adware.. I did a clean install, everything was fine. Well I downloaded the IM progs I use, apparently one of them had this adware junk embedded. So.. I decided to do a clean install of XP again... Not going so well, normally I can figure things out and fix it myself, but I'm stumped -- I've Googled and Googled -- I find similar problems with no solution! confused1.gif So the problem is.. When I'm trying the clean install it goes for a few mins and then says ''setup cannot continue'' Sparrow.sys is corrupted. So, I've tried over and over -- I know it's not the CD cuz I just did it the day before. Also, system restore does not help. Thanks in advance!!

Sparrow.sys belongs to drivers for some form of SCSI device that you have or may not have as the case may be. If you don't know what SCSI is, you don't have it, with all due respect.

If the same setup programme worked the day before and you haven't added anything hardware wise, then something has changed somewhere to cause this error. This may be a hardware error, possibly hard drive.
