I work for a local government entity, i have a client's computer that they have apparently clicked on or downloaded something that has infected them with at the least XPSecurityCenter and some Red circle with a white X that constantly pops a baloon up with "Your Computer is Infected"

Trying to get some quick help with this as Im sure someone on here has had this issue before, before i waste alot of time working on it.

Ive removed a few things from Add/Remove Programs, disabled a few things in startup, Deleted a few things, ran ad-aware and also windows malicious tool which found a couple of things

spybot wouldnt open, i assume maybe renaming the exe would help, but its apparent that something is probably halting the executing of the application


This computer is running windowsxp sp2

Ill post the hijackthis results momentarily.

hijackthis will not open, ive even tried renaming the executable and it will still do nothing

it opened after i renamed and also moved the exe from the directory it was originally installed to
