how can i get a product key with out paying for it

About the only way you can legally do it is to reuse the product key that is in the machine. If there is a copy of Windows on it you can open up regedit HKLM/software/microsoft/windows and highlight curver (current version) and in the right panel you will see the product key listed. You could also install Belarc Adviser which will among other things list all the software keys.
