I am using Microsoft Word 2007 on a Windows XP system and have inserted hyperlinks to web sites in my document. When I click on the link to check it, I get the following message: "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."
I have been able to do this in the past so I don't know what the problem is. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to fix this problem. Thanks for your help.

I apologize for the late response. Please try the resolution in the following MS KB:
You receive an error message when you click a hyperlink in Outlook

Note that this isn't an Outlook error, it is an IE upgrade error.

I tried to reset the web setting of IE, but that didn't work. I was finally able to access another computer to import the registry key. After doing that, I tried to open a hyperlink in my Word 2007 document and got the same message---"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."
Is there anything else I could try?
