Recently i thought to my self
" Hey how cool can it be to develop my own personal web page "

i looked for a few PHP tutorials, and some advised me to use
'WAMP' server, and some advised me to download 'APACHE'
i figured that apache would do a better job!

[ i'm looking for a server that eventually able to let people all around access my website, and not only from my computer
just log into my website trough my ip address...
is it even possible? i didnt investigate it all trough but i think it is.. isnt it?
( im a rooter user ) ]

so!
i entered the APACHE home website..
its a LAMP program, which means its open source.. so its a free program!

http://www.apache.org/

the web offered me several mirrors to download the application and none of them worked!
each and every mirror i tried just gave me a weird files Internet directory!

i made a little effort and made a screenshoot:

I want to download apache and i have nowhere to download from!

any way i'm really pissed and dont know what to do ><
i want to get it just by principle!!! im that annoyed ><

Thank to anyone who resolves my problem

Generally, you only need apache if your hosting the website on your own server, for which you need specific connections (different to your home PC connection), different billing (for a small website this can be expensive), Operating system, etc. You generally buy your domain name and pay someone to host the site for you. Unless your site(s) are fairly large.
There are alot of free resources around, free website space, blogs, forums, etc. Some allow you to pick your own domain name, some do not. They usually just have there own advertising on your site to cover the costs.
This is how I started out. As the site grows you buy your own web hosting and pay a monthly\yearly fee. Shared servers with several small sites can be fairly cheap, when your site gets fairly large like this one, you would then hosts it yourself.
Or did I miss your point?
