Well, I was recently infected with something and followed the Malware Removal Guide down to Step Four to successfully cure that issue.

So I then took the advice of the How Did I Get Infected? page to add some security since my expired Norton wasn't actually doing anything. I uninstalled the Norton and added SpywareBlaster, Spybot S&D (including TeaTimer), Spywareguard, AVG Anti-Virus & COMODO firewall (and, unfortunately, the accompanying toolbar).

Now I sporadically get windows messages while browsing in Firefox that "Firefox has encountered a problem and needs to close" with the "report this problem" send/don't send button (which, after selecting, Firefox closes). This never happened before. It primarily occurs when I'm switching between tabs and typically if one of the tabs is also loading a new page.

Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

I checked the MS Event Viewer, and the errors occurring at the time of the Firefox crashes is;

Faulting application firefox.exe, version 1.8.20080.4669, faulting module msvcr80.dll, version 8.0.50727.762, fault address 0x0004ef67.

Well, I figured the problem out on my own.

So just in case anyone else is having a similar problem and happens to find this...the problem was with AVG's Safe Search 8.0 add-on. Disabled it and have been problem free since.
