So I just recalled a game we used to play with our teacher when I was in grade school.
I'll change the game a little bit to make it easier. biggrin.gif

This game is about linking songs together using the lyrics in the song. To start the game, I will post some lines from a song of my choosing and highlight a word form the lyrics. The next poster should find a song with the highlighted word present in his/her song's lyrics.

For example:
QUOTE
Numb by LinkinPark:
I've become so numb I can't feel you there
Become so tired so much more aware
I'm becoming this all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you

Next post:
QUOTE
Want To by Sugarland:
The whole world could change in a minute
Just one kiss could stop it spinning
We could think it through
But I don't want to, if you don't want to

Next post:
QUOTE
I Think I'm In Love by Beck:
I think I'm in love
But it makes me kinda nervous to say so
I think I'm in love
But it makes me kinda nervous to say so

Here are the rules of the game:
Title of the song should be included. Artist/Singer/Composer is optional. Including it would be better. smile.gif
At least 2 lines of the song. You can post the entire song if you want. tongue.gif
Underline the word from the previous song and highlight the word in your song for the next poster.
The highlighted word could be anywhere in the lyrics you post. Just make sure that you don't choke the next poster with words like universe or something like that. laughing.gif
The title is not counted as part of the lyrics. If the previous word is say and the title of your song has say in it but none in the lyrics, that song is not valid.
You can highlight more than one word to give the next poster some choices. The next poster can choose any one of them but only one.
All songs must be in English since this is an English speaking posting site.
Songs must not conflict with the TOU.

Added Rules:
Song cannot be repeated for the next, uhm, 5 posts?

Hope this turns out to be a fun game! I'll start.

Misery Business by Paramore

Whoa, I never meant to brag
But I got him where I want him now
Whoa, it was never my intention to brag
To steal it all away from you now

The Used - The Taste of Ink (that's gotta be better than your song)

QUOTE
Is it worth it can you even hear me
Standing with your spotlight on me
Not enough to feed the hungry
I'm tired and I felt it for awhile now
In this sea of lonely
The taste of ink is getting old

You highlighted 2 words, so I found a song with both in the same line:

Ryan Adams - She Wants to Play Hearts

QUOTE
I am a broken toy
For a lonely girl
Use once and destroy
And go find some more
Back home, kids play in the leaves in the park
She wants to play a game of hearts

I stand corrected. I was thinking of someone else. The Used oughta be sued for misrepresentation; their name always makes me think they're edgier than they are (since they're pretty much the opposite of edgy).

Send forth Your word
