Hello,

I came back from my parent's house to find that I can no longer connect to certain websites. These include eBay, Yahoo! mail, youtube, and various other sites. I have no added any new programs or anything like that.

AMD Dual Core 5200+
Windows Vista
Buckeye Cable (cable internet)

Here is what I have done so far:

-Ran AVG, Spybot. Found a few problems but nothing major.

-Ran HiJackThis. Deleted anything that was neutral or unsafe (log later down).

-Ran something through https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2: Results:

GRC Port Authority Report created on UTC: 2008-09-08 at 16:46:20

Results from scan of ports: 0, 21-23, 25, 79, 80, 110, 113,
119, 135, 139, 143, 389, 443, 445,
1002, 1024-1030, 1720, 5000

0 Ports Open
0 Ports Closed
26 Ports Stealth
---------------------
26 Ports Tested

ALL PORTS tested were found to be: STEALTH.

TruStealth: PASSED - ALL tested ports were STEALTH,
- NO unsolicited packets were received,
- NO Ping reply (ICMP Echo) was received.

File Sharing:

Internet port 139 not detected

Unable to connect to NetBIOS

-Reset modem multiple times. No luck.

- HiJackThis log:

- Doesn't work in Firefox, IE, or Google Chrome.

Any ideas on what to try next?

I hope that was enough information to get started.

Edit:

Here's a new development.

If I run through a proxy site, everything works fine.

Ideas?

I can't tell, if this related to your connection problem, but your computer has some infection.
You're also using AVG 7.5, and the updates for that version of AVG expired at the end of August.
You always need to keep your antivirus current.
