I'm getting a MacBook and I want to play some games that run on PC (Sims 2, Myst 5, Portal, etc...) and I was wondering if bootcamp was sufficient, or if I needed parallels or something else...

if your going to play games, then you should dual boot your system. Boot camp should do you fine.

I think that is the best way to do it, although I would go the other way and get a normal PC and then dual boot OSX if the hardware is the same you can buy an internal flash drive that lets you run OSX you can buy from apple it should in theory be cheaper.

They aren't the best gaming machines but try and make sure you get a version of the macbook with better gfx if its a model with the lower end gfx you might have trouble running some games in general.

I just used cider to play portal and I got the Mac version of Myst V, Sims, and Sims 2, so I'm good with games for a while... next to get, Spore!
