Ok, here we go again with the ERRORS! I am SOOO sick of them for real! I need a Mac lol.

Ok The first one is this Internet Explorer Error message below. This error closes down my IE a lot of times!



Next, Sometimes I get a lot of About:blank pages that keep popping up and then it forces me to restart my computer! It also lags my PC.

Next, everytime I shut down my PC I get a sysfalder error message most of the time and I have to end that task before my PC shuts down. That also slows down my PC as well.

Finally, my PC is lagging most of the time due to these errors.

Hi there, wait no more I am here, I will need a fresh look at your system and an update on the current situation

Download OTScanit to your Desktop and double-click on it to extract the files. It will create a folder named OTScanIt on your desktop.

• Close ALL OTHER PROGRAMS.
• Open the OTScanit folder and double-click on OTScanit.exe to start the program.
• Check the box that says Scan All User Accounts
• Check the Radio buttons for Files/Folders Created Within 90 Days and Files/Folders Modified Within 90 Days
• Under Additional Scans check the following:
  • Reg - BotCheck
    
  • Reg - IE CmdMapping
    
  • File - Additional Folder Scans
    
  • File - Purity Scan
• Now click the Run Scan button on the toolbar.
• Let it run unhindered until it finishes.
• When the scan is complete Notepad will open with the report file loaded in it.
• Click the Format menu and make sure that Wordwrap is not checked. If it is then click on it to uncheck it.

Please attach the log in your next post.

To attach a file, do the following:

• Click Add Reply
• Under the reply panel is the Attachments Panel
• Browse for the attachment file you want to upload, then click the green Upload button
• Once it has uploaded, click the Manage Current Attachments drop down box

Hi that shows the remnants of an old infection, so I would think that the problems may be software related. We will look at that after this quick fix

Start OTScanit. Copy/Paste the information in the quotebox below into the pane where it says "Paste fix here" and then click the Run Fix button.



The fix should only take a very short time. When the fix is completed a message box will popup telling you that it is finished. Click the Ok button and Notepad will open with a log of actions taken during the fix. Post that information back here along with a new Hijackthis log.

I will review the information when it comes back in.

Also let me know of any problems you encountered performing the steps above or any continuing problems you are still having with the computer.

NEXT

What I would like you to do is disable all addons within IE7. There is a tutorial here if you are not sure how to do this.

Having disabled them all restart IE and see if the problem recurs. If it does then let me know. If it does not then re-enable one addon then restart IE and try again. Do this in turn for each addon until you find the one causing the problem

A good workman always cleans up after himself so...Download and run this small programme and hit the cleanup button. It will remove all the programmes we have used plus itself. MBAM can be uninstalled via control panel add/remove along with ERUNT. But they may be useful tools to keep

Now to get you off to a good start we will clean your restore points so that all the bad stuff is gone for good. Then if you need to restore at some stage you will be clean. There are several ways to reset your restore points, but this is my method:

• Select Start > All Programs > Accessories > System tools > System Restore.
• On the dialogue box that appears select Create a Restore Point
• Click NEXT
• Enter a name e.g. Clean
• Click CREATE

You now have a clean restore point, to get rid of the bad ones:

• Select Start > All Programs > Accessories > System tools > Disk Cleanup.
• In the Drop down box that appears select your main drive e.g. C
• Click OK
• The System will do some calculation and the display a dialogue box with TABS
• Select the More Options Tab.
• At the bottom will be a system restore box with a CLEANUP button click this
• Accept the Warning and select OK again, the program will close and you are done

Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free programmes:

• SpywareBlaster to help prevent spyware from installing in the first place.
• SuperAntispyware Run weekly to keep your system clean

Not so fast! When I cleaned my PC with that little clean up program, as soon as I clicked rerstart now, the error for Internet Explorer came back!

Also, when I did the last step with the run it thing, it changed my folder settings when I brose my folders, how come?

We will now confirm that your hidden files are set to that, as some of the tools I use will change that

• Click Start.
• Open My Computer.
• Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
• Select the View Tab.
• Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Do not show hidden files and folders.

• Click OK.

Can you confirm that the addon that you stopped is still disabled and which one was it ?

I am still having problems with the sysfader message as well.
I do not have the addon disabled. When i start Internet Explorer five home pages come up automatically

Ref the sysfader error there is a resolution on this page

With regard to the Five startup tabs that can be resolved by going to intenet options within control panel and on the General Tab > Home page section remove all home pages bar the one you want to open

In that case you will continue to get the errors as that addon is not compatible with IE. Which programme is the culprit ?
