I have a linksys wireless G router that I need to reconfigure for a client. it works fine hard wired or wireless but if i try and log into it ( using default IP and ADMIN) only the logo and a couple of options populate. 80% of the options needed to configure don't ever load and nothing is changable. This is the case from 2 seperate machines. I didn't set this router initially so i have no idea what is set. I've never seen the interface page for a router not load up.
I have a secondary indentical router that logs in fine. AM I CRAZY?!!

thanks for any insight

I have experienced these kinds of issues before. It is what I would call a "bricked router": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bricked.

I think you are correct sir......but I found this great solution, DDWRT( http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv3/) It's a third party router firm ware that works incredibly and has WAY more features and capability than your over the counter linksys, netgear, etc. It will work on just about every router out there (Ihttp://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices)

I flashed the "bricked" linksys with the compatable firmware and it is now working properly and i can now configure the wifi network.

Good to hear that worked. I have been considering third party firmware for my Linksys router myself but have not got around to trying it. Often times that 3rd party firmware is better than what is on there by default. The major problem, however, is the fact that your warranty is voided in the process.
