Right, just a quick one guys...

When i try to use the windows vista update feature i get the following error code :80072EFE. The only firewall i have up is the inbuilt one (as i thought this might have been part of the problem) and hav avg 7.5 running.

It simply starts to check if there are any updates required and then returns this error after about 2 or 3 seconds of searching.

I'm using the connection at work bu have been unable to find someone who knows how to help me...

...any help as always is greatly appreciated! thumbsup.gif

Tes.

(BTW It's a HP laptop, turion 64 x2 wuith 2gb ram, and Vista Business)

If you were behind a ISA server, this might be relevant:

You experience problems when you access the Windows Update Version 6 Web site through a
server that is running ISA Server

If not, then you could try the following:-

Start/Run and then type: cmd.exe
Then on the workstation run: Proxycfg -u
