Hello, I am having problems with some newly installed memory.
My computer is an eMachine T5026, 3.06ghz, 160gb with 1.22gb of ram (from 4 mixed memory sticks pc2100, 2700)

I removed 3 of the memory sticks to install the 3 (1gb) memory sticks and left the remaining slot with the (1) 512mb stick. The problem is that the computer self reboots after I installed this extra memory. 3 things happen from here on, either I get a message stating that Windows did not start up properly and asks if I want to start up in safe mode, last settings that work (but none of those settings works and just reboots), the 2nd thing that happens is that I get a bluescreen that displays some sort of message like "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" and at the bottom "Beginning Dump Of Physical Memory"

The 3 sticks of memory I purchased each say DDR64X16PC400 1G AUM3408

The BIOS reads the memory to be a total of 3500mb (which is a close estimate)

But other than that it just reboots, any ideas?

Hi there wavey.gif

Have you tried testing the memory sticks for errors? (i.e. using memtest86, for example?)

Cheers
