Heres a benchmark from pcpitstops.com for a system I just built ( I know I went cheap) with this one Specs Amd 2500+ Semperon Running stock Biostar M7ViG 400 Corsair Ram value select 256 mb pc 2700 Thermaltake Purepower 420w 40G Maxtor I had laying around some cdrw I had laying around On board video and sound Windows ME Stock cooling No case yet just running on my test bench Its sole purpose in live is going to be for running the cancer research project the Geeks to Go team is working on but I may overclock it because the project needs strong cpu cycles. Its running at a cool 43C under full load on my test bench but I suspect that will go up some once I get it in a case, thats when I will decide on a better hsf and what OC it will handle but all in all for a cheap system its running fine and fairly fast Rick |

I have a P4 2.6 that runs quite well at 3.51Ghz, but I also like a quiet computer.
The fastest computers I have aren't overclocked, and I've never seen them. |

Well ........ I'm humbled. Never seen a score as high as OneCool's. Had to investigate and I see an MSI board with a couple of Raptors running RAID 0.
Now for a couple of questions - CPU? 55? Core Voltage? And, memory - what speed are you running it at and what voltage? Type? Looks like you did a little tweaking according to history but an awesome build. One heck of a standard to try and measure up to. I've got a couple of 2600+ mobiles that will run over 2.5 stable (currently 2.4) and my FX53, pure stock (940) at 2.4 benches in the high 2100's at PCPitstop with all software running (yes, I noticed what wasn't running too) but 2800? - might be time for a new build down here. Haven't been into my silver epoxy for a couple of years and no need to anymore, however ....... might be time to trick something up. Then I have to read about a 2.6 doing 3.51 and realize, there's more than one master lurking around this board. You guys are too much. I am truly humbled. Now if Doby comes back and further rubs my nose in it, well - lets just say a little humility is good for the soul. |

One cool, what mobo is it that your using, im curious as im going to build a system similar to yours but slightly cheaper. Especially interested in how easy it was to OC your venice from what ive been reading it looks like a pretty good procceser to overclock, with the stock cooler the results are impressive as well i was planning on getting an XP-120 my friend has one and it is quite the cooler but i dont think im going to bother anymore at least for a while.
