Qttask This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. QTTASK caused an invalid page fault in module EOUKERC.DLL at 0187:032fd24c. Registers: EAX=00009c2f CS=0187 EIP=032fd24c EFLGS=00010293 EBX=00000000 SS=018f ESP=0064f9a0 EBP=032fd013 ECX=7ffffffd DS=018f ESI=032f0008 FS=370f EDX=9c2f0000 ES=018f EDI=03bf5a4d GS=0000 Bytes at CS:EIP: 66 83 0e ff 83 c6 02 e2 b4 eb 9a 8b 95 22 04 00 Stack dump: 00000000 032f0000 0064fb84 0064f9c0 81744f80 c00309cc d1708010 032fd001 bff7ddd6 032f0000 00000001 00000000 00000000 032f0000 81744f80 81746034 The computer has been crashing/freezing nonstop and I have run norton and ad-aware but it hasn't really helped. Additionally, I got a RUNDLL error upon starting up (error loading C:\WINDOWS\CFGMGR52.DLL) I know this is probably a really stupid question, but if anybody could give me any help, I'd be incredibly grateful as I'd rather not get in too much trouble for breaking this computer! Thanks a million! -Danny |

If you want help tell us something about the ?&%$*# computer, what operatang system, the make and model, what you did to it recently, give people a tiny little clue. You have to give us a little help before we can help you.
If I remember correctly, qttask is the Quicktime Task Manager, it monitors the system to see if Quicktime is needed to open a file. Do you by any chance do anything to Quicktime? Like deleting the files without uninstalling the program? |

sorry! the OS is Windows 98 and it's a gateway "professional" (hope that's enough). I haven't done anything recently to mess with quicktime, although the problem seemed to really start while prompted to download something linked to from www.collegehumor.com. however, i clicked no, but that's when the computer started freezing up and i've been getting the qttask illegal operation message ever since then (with an occasional fatal exception thrown in for good measure). I defragged and all that good stuff but i keep getting the message. thanks for any help you might have to offer!!!
