What is the world is going on? Major help needed., Popcorn72.exe not going away

OS: Windows XP Professional



Alright, so I know I have this file called popcorn72.exe. I ran sophos antivirus, and it quarantine it. I then tried to delete it from the registry, but I couldn't find it under runcontrolpanel. What happened to it? When I try to delete the file from the c drive, it says "Access is Denied."

Need any more info? Thank you so much for helping me...

popcorn72.exe is malware.
Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
