I just noticed I had a problem tonight. My college age daughter is home for break and was leaving the house. I had to log out of her side of the computer and saw a program called "Winfix.exe" trying to download and there were some pop-ups too. I immediately tried to run Adaware and after about 15 seconds the computer went straight to the BSOD with an error message that started "STOP: C000012a {System Failure} yadda, yadda, yadda. I tried all the fixes I have found on the web and none worked. The pop-ups are gone and Spyware Blaster found and fixed "Winfixer", but the system still goes blue when I run Adaware SE. I work from home and I believe I missed a shift because of this problem tonight (password would not work). I have many shifts scheduled for this weekend and I can't afford to miss them. Here is my HiJack log. I sure hope you can help me.: Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 2:19:07 AM, on 1/6/2006 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\PROGRA~1\TRENDM~1\INTERN~2\PcCtlCom.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\PROGRA~1\TRENDM~1\INTERN~2\Tmntsrv.exe C:\PROGRA~1\TRENDM~1\INTERN~2\tmproxy.exe C:\PROGRA~1\TRENDM~1\INTERN~2\TmPfw.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\hkcmd.exe C:\WINDOWS\BCMSMMSG.exe C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP Share-to-Web\hpgs2wnd.exe C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin\jusched.exe C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Internet Security 2006\pccguide.exe C:\PROGRA~1\HEWLET~1\HPSHAR~1\hpgs2wnf.exe C:\Program Files\Messenger\MSMSGS.EXE C:\Program Files\Siber Systems\AI RoboForm\RoboTaskBarIcon.exe C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\AiO\hp officejet v series\Bin\hpoant07.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA.EXE C:\Program Files\Palm\HOTSYNC.EXE C:\PROGRA~1\HEWLET~1\AiO\Shared\Bin\hpoevm07.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\hpoipm07.exe C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\AiO\Shared\bin\hpOSTS07.exe C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\AiO\Shared\bin\hpOFXM07.exe C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\QLEFYRY9\HijackThis[1].exe R1 - Hi and welcome to GeeksToGo! My name is Sam and I will be helping you.
I apologize for the delay getting to your log, the helpers here are very busy. Before we can get started on fixing your problem you must change the location of Hijackthis. It should not run directly from your desktop or a temp directory.
Once you have Hijackthis running from this folder, please reboot and post a new hijackthis log as a reply in this thread. |
