yeah. so its kind of changing. First i got
A) a RUNDLL error(see link to other post)
B) Random complete shutdowns of the computer.
C) Popups, all usually the ones advertising virus/adware removal.
Now i no longer get A or B, just C. And now,
instead of shutting down, it blinks into an off center blue screen with some white error all over it for half a second, and then restarts before i can even read it. Then it gives me the option to do stuff like safe mode, run normally, run on last known normal configeration, etc. HiJackThisLog found in other post as of like two days ago.

Hi and welcome to GeeksToGo! My name is Sam and I will be helping you. smile.gif
I apologize for the delay getting to your log, the helpers here are very busy.

Before we can get started on fixing your problem you must change the location of Hijackthis. It should not run directly from your desktop or a temp directory.
  • Download and run the HijackThis autoinstall program
  • Please choose the default location of C:\Program Files as the destination.
  • Run the program only from that location from now on. It is essential that you follow these steps or certain important features of the program will not function correctly.

Once you have Hijackthis running from this folder, please reboot and post a new hijackthis log as a reply in this thread.

I would also suggest that you read the forum rules. Specifically the ones in bold that say...

Please only post your topic once. Duplicate posts will be closed, and just create additional work for the staff members trying to help you.

Do not 'bump' or reply to your topic. We look first for posts with no replies, and we start with the oldest posts and work forward. Bumping will delay a reply.

There are several issues that show up in your log so this will take a few steps.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
  • Turn your computer back on.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.
