Can I download digital camcorder directly to ex HD

I have a digital camera (Canon Elura 50) with firewire connection but my Dell computer has no firewire connection. Can I get an external hard drive to download directly to?

not that i know of...i believe you could get a PCI firewire adapter for your pc though
