Cant burn cd's with iTunes, Tried everything

OS: windows XP



I downloaed iTunes and evrything seemed to be working great. Then I tried to burn a cd from a playlist and received an error messageand it ejected my cd-r.
I don't know what to do, I like the program but I need it to burn cd's for me. M<y musicmatch jukebox is burning so it can't be the drive. Please help!!! helpsmilie.gif

Forgive my ignorance, but can iTunes be burned to a CD? I didn't think they could.

iTunes is definetely supposed to burn discs or "backup playlists" I just can't figure out why its not performing on my system. surrender.gif
