I am having trouble with my Thomson TX807 CS television. Basically, it is possible to watch television as normal but when i try to hook anything up to the Yellow/Red/White (YRW) socket or the Scart socket, the device hooked up will only come out in black & white. I have tried it with three seperate DVD players, my Playstation 2 and my Gamecube but they all have the same trouble. I think i need to replace the YRW and Scart connections but how would i do that? Any help would be very much appreciated. Many Thanks, Noobsaibot |

Ive never had luck with those. For Gaming consoles, its possible to buy an adapter so you plug it into the same place that your cable line goes into.
I always get that for my consoles because a lot of TVs dont have the colors built into them anymore. |

It sounds like the frequency is slightly off, is one able to adjust it with the fine tune as with normal TV channels, or does it just offer the button control as AV?

Adjusting the colour makes no difference.
The B&W picture is clear as i would expect from scart and AV, it's just that it's in black & White. Regular Television plays in colour no problem. I think it is just a faulty Scart and AV connection and i probably just need to replace something. It's just a question of what and how. |

Back to my question, is there a way of fine tuning the signal frequency like when one does a scan search for channel, if so you are in luck because I believe that the frequency to be slightly out of sinc.
Another idea, is it the same zone, for example NTSC Japan in different form America, and again in Europe there is Pal and Secum. Is your television multisystem then it might be a miss recognition. Good luck and post back. This post has been edited by fleamailman: Sep 2 2005, 04:17 PM |
