I have been having problems with Aurora, abetterinternet, and winfixer 2005. I have tried to follow the instructions in the read this before posting section but have been running into problems completing them. I have run Microsoft adware several times, it continues to pick up the same issues and fix them. Ad-Aware also seems to fix the problems and then they are back again for the next scan. Spybot S & D runs about 1/2 through, finds an issue and then something causes my computer to shut down entirely prior to Spybot finishing. The same thing happened when I tried to run my virus scan program, TrojanHunter, and Ewido. In fact after running Ewido, I had to reboot my computer 5 times before it would stay running so I could send this plea for help! Here is my Hijackthis log: Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 6:02:23 PM, on 8/22/2005 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\csrss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\Ati2evxx.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\BCMSMMSG.exe C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\SynTPLpr.exe C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\SynTPEnh.exe C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI Control Panel\atiptaxx.exe C:\Program Files\Dell\QuickSet\QuickSet.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\dla\tfswctrl.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\DSentry.exe C:\Program Files\Dell\Media Experience\PCMService.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe C:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\agent\mcagent.exe C:\Program Files\MUSICMATCH\MUSICMATCH Jukebox\mm_tray.exe C:\Program Files\McAfee.com\VSO\mcvsshld.exe C:\Program Files\MUSICMATCH\MUSICMATCH Jukebox\mmtask.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware\gcasServ.exe C:\Program Files\McAfee.com\VSO\oasclnt.exe C:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\vso\mcvsescn.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape\Netscp.exe C:\Program Files\Dell Support\DSAgnt.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\cisvc.exe C:\Palm\HOTSYNC.EXE C:\Program Files\ewido\security suite\ewidoctrl.exe C:\Program Files\ewido\security suite\ewidoguard.exe c:\program files\mcafee.com\agent\mcdetect.exe c:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\vso\mcshield.exe c:\progra~1\mcafee.com\vso\mcvsftsn.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware\gcasDtServ.exe c:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\agent\mctskshd.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7DEBUG\MDM.EXE C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM\Binn\sqlservr.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\WLTRYSVC.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\bcmwltry.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\alg.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\cidaemon.exe C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\Documents and Settings\Christina K. are you familiar with/or installed this program? ItsDeductible7
I need you to download MWav to a convenient location. This scan might take around 3+ hours to finish when set to scan everything. I need you to run MWav by double-clicking on mwav.exe. Put a check next to the below items before scanning:
**NOTE*** Sometimes MWav will pause and it appears to be finished, but it isn't done. Just let it run until it says it's complete. On the bottom portion of the window, you will see the lower panel where MWav is listing "infected items". When it's done scanning, please highlight everything in that lower panel and copy them by holding CTRL + C then paste it here. The whole log will be extremely BIG so there is no way to post the log. I just need the infected items list. Don't copy and paste the lines from infected files that are present in quarantine, recovery or backupfolders from antispywarescanner (eg adaware, spybot s&d) or your virusscanner. Those I don't need. I don't need the infected files/lines that are present in your System Volume Information-folder. I just want all the other infected ones apart from those above. |

Yes, I installed ItsDeductible7 last year to help record all my tangible charitable donations for tax purposes. I record them there and it downloads directly into Turbo Tax. Is there a problem with that program? I will try Mwav again. Post results later
