Welcome to GTG.

I don't see any signs of Aurora here, but let's run the fix and see if it gets any better.

Please print out the instructions here (or save it in Notepad) so that you can follow along more easily.

Download Ewido Security Suite at http://www.ewido.net/en/download/ and install it. Update to the newest definitions. Do NOT run it yet.

Please download nailfix at http://users.pandora.be/bluepatchy/nailfix.zip (for Windows XP) or http://users.pandora.be/bluepatchy/nailfix2k.zip (for Windows 2000) Unzip it to the desktop but do NOT run it yet.

Reboot into Safe Mode by hitting the F8 key repeatedly until a menu shows up (and choose Safe Mode from the list). In some systems, this may be the F5 key, so try that if F8 doesn't work.

Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on nailfix.cmd (or nailfix2k.bat if you have Windows 2000). Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

Next run a full scan in Ewido. Post the log from the Ewido scan here.

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = websearch.drsnsrch.com/q.cgi?q=

Close all open windows except for HijackThis and click Fix Checked.

Restart your computer in normal mode and post a new HijackThis log, as well as the log from the Ewido scan.

Download FindIt's.zip to your desktop: http://forums.net-integration.net/index.ph...=post&id=142443

1. Unzip/extract the files inside to a folder on your desktop.
2. Open the folder. Double click on FindIt's.bat and wait for Notepad to open a text file. It will take a while so please be patient ...
3. Then post the results here.

Yes, we can help you with that also if you have problems with the printer. I suggest posting it in the Hardware section.

You may copy and paste the instructions to notepad then if the printer is not working.

That's great, but please post a new HijackThis and FindIt's log one more time so that I can verify that everything bad is gone now.

Little more cleaning and you should be clear.

Before you do anything else, please create a folder for HijackThis and put it in a permanent folder (like C:\HJT) instead of the Temp folder. Also move the backup folder out of there. This is required because HijackThis will create backups and we don't want them to be deleted.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Restart your computer and boot into Safe Mode by hitting the F8 key repeatedly until a menu shows up (and choose Safe Mode from the list). In some systems, this may be the F5 key, so try that if F8 doesn't work. Make sure to close any open browsers. Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

O2 - BHO: {92E1B3F7-0546-421E-9835-904D25B7BA66} - {C4F147D7-BF25-488E-A12B-EFD43E7029BF} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\winvbie.dll (file missing)
O3 - Toolbar: VisuExplorer - {92E1B3F7-0546-421E-9835-904D25B7BA66} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\msiev32.dll (file missing)
O9 - Extra button: Ebates - {6685509E-B47B-4f47-8E16-9A5F3A62F683} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdocvw.dll (HKCU)

Delete the following Files/Folders (delete folders if no filename is specified) according to their directory (if none, just do a search for them) and delete them if they exist:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\kill all spywareadsfadsf12.ico

Restart and run a new HijackThis scan. Save the log file and post it here.

OK, we have a trojan here.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

If you have a fast internet connection (broadband), run an online virus scan at TrendMicro http://uk.trendmicro-europe.com/enterprise...call_launch.php. Just follow the instructions on the site to run the online scan. If any viruses/trojans are detected, try to delete or clean them in that site. You may use Panda ActiveScan also at http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan. Otherwise, make sure your antivirus program has the latest definitions and run a full system scan.

Download Hoster http://www.greyknight17.com/spy/Hoster.exe and run it. Choose the 'Restore Original Hosts' button and press OK.
