Auto backup to external hard drive

OS: XP



I understand that there is a facility in XP to auto back up files to other hard drives. Looking around it seems as if there is the facility under system tools but you have to out your XP disc (in my case the recovery disc) in to enable this. I am reluctant to do this just in case it starts to over write XP. Is there another way to do this.?

your XP disk won't overwrite or delete anything unless you tell it to do so
