OS: windows vista

I am having serious issues with my uploading.
for example, i cannot attach files into email, tried gmail and hotmail, or upload files into websites (which i need to do for work)
as soon as i click either on attach, or upload, whatever may be the case the pc just takes forever to do it, if it does it, 99% of the time
it wont do it at all.
I need to fix this fast, or ill be in big trouble with my employer.
the funny thing is that if a take this same laptop to my girlfriends house, the uploading works just fine...
and in my network, if i use other computer (with xp home) it does it just fine also...
tried turning off firewalls and antiviruses, nothing changes...

so, my problem is between, my laptop with vista and my network...
im using a wireless g linksys.

PLEASE HELP ME!!
thank you very much
