Hello, i had recently rebooted my computer and since then i haven't been receiving ANY sound, and i was wondering if anyone can help me.I ahve a Widows Home Edition Xp Service Pack 2 and My Computer is a CybertronPC X-Plorer

Open Control Panel and double-click on the "Sounds and Audio Devices" icon. Under the "Sounds" tab, select "Windows default" in the Sounds Scheme drop down menu. Under the "Audio" tab, make sure that your Sound device is listed in the top two sections...if not, select it from the drop down menu. Under the "Voice" tab, make sure the Your Sound device is listed in both boxes...if not, select it. Under the "Volume" tab, put a tick in the box to "Place volume icon in the taskbar". Click "Apply" and then "Ok".

Now look down by the clock...is there a little speaker there? If yes, double-click on it and make sure there is not a tick in the box next to "Mute" and that the Volume sliders are all set to at least halfway.

Reboot

When i go into the audio/voice tab it says no playback or whatever devices.

let's see:

before anything esle
- try headphones to rule out speakers

runbox command
- press buttons on keyboard: winkey + r button
- paste: mmsys.cpl
- press: enter
- click: advanced
- see if your settings are for your configuration.

runbox command
- press buttons on keyboard: winkey + r button
- paste: sndvol32.exe
- press: enter
- check to see if none have turned down or muted

runbox command
- press buttons on keyboard: winkey + r button
- paste: devmgmt.msc
- press: enter
- see if there are yellow blobs on sound devices, means missing drivers.

(btw the winkey in the button on the keyboard that looks like Microsoft's flag)
