i have this virus which infected a pendrive and renamed the pen "you are a good guy"
Soon after it moves to the PC and the floppy drive starts to run continuously although no diskette is inside.
Safely remove hard drive is also disabled.
I use Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 and when i plugged in the pendrive, it noticed a file but allowed it to run as it posed a low risk.
I think that file might be the virus but i have no way of locating and deleting the file.
the name of the file is: BILLGATES.VBS

can anyone help me here as i have no idea as to how to locate it an eliminate it.

P.S. when scanning with Kaspersky as it goes through the files scanning i can see that file actually exist on the pendrive but i cant locate it even with 'show hidden folders activated'.

Hi before I can help I need to see what you have

Download & Run HijackThis.exe

• Download HJTInstall.exe to your Desktop.
• Doubleclick HJTInstall.exe to install it.
• By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
• Click on Install.
• It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
• Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
• Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
• Copy/Paste the log to your next reply please.

Don't use the Analyse This button, its findings are dangerous if misinterpreted.
Don't have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
