I've been working on a PC where someone downloaded the "XP Antivirus 2008" virus. I was attempting to boot it up and post the HiJack this log here today, but upon bootup, I got a blank white screen. As soon as I hit the power button, the screen is entire blank and black. It flashes white three times, then stays entirely white. Could the video card have gone bad? Comp specs, XP Pro Dell Dimension 2400.

P.S. I do not have speakers attached.

Welcome to Geeks to Go!

Have you tried booting into safe mode by pressing F8 when you reboot.

I sure did, but it doesn't get to that point. The "windows" boot screen doesn't even appear. As soon as I power it on, the screen goes white.
