I have an hp pc. I turn on the comp and it just stops at the hp screen and doesnt do anything else...i tried leaving it on for an hour but still nothing happened. I unpluged the hard drive and still the same thing happened. Also i got 3 options when it starts up ( boot menu, setup and something else) when I turn it i push the button to go into the setup, it says on the bottom left that its entereing setup than it just does nothing and stops, the same for the other 2 options. Alsso I went on a camping trip like 13 days ago and I left my comp on for 9 days ( i know im stupid ). I restarted it when i got back and it took alot longer to go through the hp screen than b4 i left for the trip. Im in no financial position right now to be able to buy another motherboard or anything else .

Try resetting the BIOS. There should be a J2 jumper somewhere on board.
Also how old is the PC? I know you have a standard 1 year warranty at least with HP's.
You may have a 3 year warranty, who knows? Good luck.

The BIOS jumper is not software jumper, its something you remove from the board, then plug back in.
But since the computer is fairly new, call HP. They will help you or have you take it to a service center free of charge.

Hope you have a recent back up of your files tongue.gif
