Hi. This is my first time building a computer, and selecting out the parts. I want to know if I am good with my selections.

First check here: Yahoo answers

Was what I originally had any good. Look at the what other ppl had replied. Now, kinda following Rob W advice, I came up with this:

Links to them in order are:

http://www.newegg.co...N82E16819115041
http://www.newegg.co...st=Combo.163027

And last are my questions.
Is the memory too much? It's a triple channel and motherboard has four slots. That okay? I want a good gaming computer.
Is the motherboard any good? It didn't get the best rating.
Are the parts all going to work together?

I have seen youtube vids on how to build a computer, it seems pretty easy. The only hard part I think is connecting the wires (mainly Power supply). This would be my first time and I want to know if a nub like me would have any problems building one. I don't want to make a mistake.

Any suggestions? Concerns?

Sorry I am loading all this informations on ya, but I want to get the best out of my budget. (about $1,300)

Well, thank you for taking your time in helping me.

Edit: Oh and does Vista 64 bit come with it. I was confused when on yahoo answers ppl were asking for OS.

looks good, except that mobo will only do dual channel, so i think ddr3 would be a waste right now.

here is a diff mobo, still a good one.
