Hello,

My cd rom drive has disappeared from my computer. I check to make sure that the drive was physically connected to the motherboard, which it was. I don't know what else to do? Any suggestions?

I tried to have device manager scan for it, but to no avail.

Clayton

did it just disappear suddenly? did you do anything, make any changes to the system? does the green light on the cd rom flash when you turn the computer? Does the open button on the cd rom work? Does the cd drive spin up when you put a disk in?

It might be dead....

I think I'm having the same exact problem. I submitted a new thread for this...

http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/D-drive-dis...ed-t212595.html

but for me, the CD Gone program did not seem to work at all.
