I am having this same problem, too. Drive not recognized in "My computer" and device manager shows driver installed, but configuration information incomplete or damaged, so unable to run hardware.
Drive is a Sony CRX835E...last used about a month ago, maybe. Computer bought in 2005, upgraded to Vista in Jan 08. |

go into device manager and uninstall device. then reboot system. if it is still unable to install drivers then I would recomend installing a new drive.

go into device manager and uninstall device. then reboot system. if it is still unable to install drivers then I would recomend installing a new drive. Follow starjax's intrustructions. If this doesn't work, try finding the drivers from your manufacturer and re-installing them |
