I think the best bet is for you to contact Activision and ask them if a PCI graphics card would be able to run the game.

its almost impossible to by a plain pci card. they are still maide for specialty purposes. that means lots of $$$.

if you don't have an agp port available or pci-x then your options are very limited. you can always call dell and provide them with your service tag to see what options are available.

Hellfire I was getting this same error. I resolved it by uninstalling the Omega drivers I was using and going back to the original driver. Make sure your using the exact driver for your video card. If your using Omega drivers for overclocking purposes it's going to freak out. Check with your manufacturer and make sure you have the right drivers and the most up to date ones.

I am also using an onboard video card with my laptop. Its not a PCI express so I can't change it. When you finally get into cod 2 you need to turn the stuff way down to get it to run fast.

I have the same problem. My graphics is intel 82865G and I can not run COD2. On the intel sides is Compatability list --> http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/...aphics+865main&

but COD2 is not there. I installed newest driver of 82865 and today I will try functionality with COD2. But with old driver is not working.

I had the similar problem with COD1 multiplayer, but I solved this when I installed patch 1.5 of COD1.

Well as far as i know almost all the games in the last year need DX9 support and only the new ATI mobos for AMD systems have onboard gfx that supports DX9.

Hello Call of Duty 2 Problems!

Your Intel graphics card is weedy and looking at the Dell Dimension 3000 specs it appears that your computer doesn't have a AGP slot.
So basically your not going to be able to play the game unless you upgrade the motherboard.

Oh by the way your Mcafee DATS are out of date. Your only running 4643 the latest one is 4644.
