Cannot Run Windows in Normal Mode (Only on Safe Mode)

Dear All,

Could anyone help me on this matter ?

- My PC won't run on normal mode (freeze on XP logo - with the bar on the bottom)
- Run on Safe Mode though.

What should I do ??

What happened before this problem started to occur?
In safe mode go to Start -> Run -> msconfig
Click on "System Restore" and restore your computer to an earlier date.

Hi Edge2022,

Nothing really happened at first.

Just when a couple days ago I tried to restart the computer, it freeze at Windows Logo.

BTW, Msconfig gave me "Windows cannot find 'msconfig'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then clich Search."

Did try the System Restore (either in Safe Mode) or on the Prompt "Last Good Configuration" (things) .. both didn't work.

If you have your Windows CD, then click on "Repair Common Windows Startup Problems" in my sig and follow the instructions.

If you don't have your Windows CD, then click on "Recovery Console Instructions" and follow the directions to make a bootable CD. Then use that CD for the instructions in the other link I asked you to go to.

We might have to do a repair since msconfig appears to be missing.
