the recovery CD 'XP home edition from Acer'. The working is OK but since the Hard drive is 20GB. only, I intend to fixed a old xp pro OS. 40GB. hard disk, to reformat it and install a new version of XP Pro w/SP2. I remove the 20GB. hdd. and in place put the 40GB. hdd. to reformat using XP pro CD. I have also set the BIOS to boot first for CDROM. When I restart the computer it seem it could not boot the XP CD, a pop up saying 'Windows could not start because of an error in the software. Pls. report this as: load needed DLLs for kernel'. What does it mean by that how do I going to solve this problem. Thanking you. PS. Product name: Acer power sd. |

Try booting the CD in another computer to make sure its good (and botable).
