So I was wondering if any of you could tell me what all can still be done with command prompt other then the basic accessing and creating of files on your computer? |

What you are probably thinking of is DOS, which was a text-based operating system. While early versions of Windows were based on DOS (Windows 3.1, 95, 98, ME), more recent versions are not (Windows 2000, XP, Vista). In the former case, the command prompt was a much more powerful tool and could do basically everything you could remember it doing in DOS. In the later case, command prompt is less effective as it does not support all commands that DOS did. However, you can still "play games" with command prompt. Simply open it up, navigate to a folder where a game is installed, and type the name of the game's executable file.
