Does anyone know how to overclock a Compaq Presario 1711nx with an AMD Sempron 3400+ processor? The HP/Compaq BIOS doesn't allow for changing the clock or cpu speed. The computer has an ASUS Amberine M motherboard which is proprietory to HP so no love there. The computer is just sooooo slow. I've done all the usual tweaks, cleaned the registry, cleaned up the drive, and defragged the drive. The thing is still a slug! Anybody got any ideas?

These boards are not overclockable.
Sempron processors aren't super fast in any case and aren't designed to overclock to any great degree. This machine is near enough three years old.
