Computer Freeze when playing video files

OS: XP Home edition



Hi i have a laptop Compaq Presario R3000
Pentium 4 3.20 GHz
512 MB
60 GB
Windows XP Home Edition SP2
AND my graphic card is ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000 IGP
When i try to play video files in it suddenly freeze and i cant move the mouse and i cant press anything in keyboard like CTRL+ALT+DEL the only option i have is to take the batteries out from the laptop sad.gif

Sorry this is my first post
Can anyone here please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
