Computer Freezes During reformat PLEASE HELP

I have a p3 dell it freezes during format as soon as it restarts it freezes all i get is a black screen.. ive tried 3 diferent hardrives ive tried 3 dif cd roms i have no clue what else to do please help.

Three hard drives, they can't all be faulty. This is more likely a defective motherboard.
